IFBB Tijuana Pro Pro Bikini Preview

This weekend in Tijuana, Mexico nine women will compete for the opportunity to compete in next week’s Bikini Olympia. There was only one entrant up until this week but now we at least have a contest.

The Hardbody Breakdown:

Tiffany Boydston - Tiffany made her pro debut in Phoenix and was outside of the top 10. She’s one of the smaller bikini competitors in the IFBB and still needs time to put on size. Yes, it sounds weird saying a bikini competitor needs to get bigger but when it comes Tiff I think she falls into that boat. She’ll have her work cut out for her to crack the top three here.

Abbie Burrows – Abbie has been in the hunt every show she enters except for one. I think she will be your winner and carry that momentum into the Olympia looking to crack the top six. She’s made the rookie mistakes already and should be at her best this weekend. The one thing I’d like to see Abbie continue to improve on his her confidence when posing. When she’s relaxed and poised she crushes it but when she over thinks things it shows 10 fold on stage.

Wicky Davis -
I like Wicky’s look and she will be the tallest competitor on the stage. Originally from the Netherlands but splits her time between there and Florida now. If Wicky has the conditioning on her lower body she can crack the top three, if not she’ll be on the outside looking in. She was in the dreaded bottom of the barrel position at this year’s Bikini International but hey she has no where to go but up and I think you’ll see an improved competitor from that showing.

Jenny Drennan – Jenny turned pro at the 2010 Team Universe and she was the runner-up in the Louisiana Pro Bikini earlier this year. I look for her to be in the mix for a top spot once again. The pressure is off her as she is already qualified for the Olympia. One of the few blonde competitors in the division, she should stand out in this line up and look for her to be compared for a top spot.

Diana Fields - Diana has been absent from the competitive scene this year and was up and down in her placings last year. We’ll have to wait and see what she brings to the stage. She was one of the first bikini pros and in order to hang in the division now I think she’ll need to show up more polished and drop the goofy facial expressions when posing.

Kelly Gonzales - Kelly was at her all-time best in Phoenix but finished in the lower end of the line-up. I liked the look she brought to the stage and thought she could have placed higher. She is also a smaller competitor and needs a bit more size to be in the top spots. She continues to improve and that’s winning at the end of the day.

Anca Marcus - Anca finished in the fifth place spot at the 2011 Muscle Contest. She’ll obviously hope to improve upon that and return to the Olympia stage. If she brings a tighter backside than she did at the Muscle Contest she’ll be in the mix for the top three. I see her placing in second or third at this show.

Christie Marquez – Christie continues to improve with each pro show while other falter. She won’t be last here but getting in the top three will be a challenge. All she can do is continue to improve her stand presence and bring up the sassiness on stage when she presents her body.

Christy Merritt - Christy had a break out year in 2010 going from an amateur to the Olympia stage within a few months. The 2011 season hasn’t been as fruitful yet as her placings have been outside of the top five. She’ll look to return to the 2010 form and head back for her second Olympia. She has a chance at the top three but it won’t be easy.

Hardbody Top 3 Olympia Prediction:
1. Abbie Burrows
2. Anca Marcus
3. Jenny Drennan

Who do you think will finish in the top three at this show? HOLA!

All of these girls are dark horses in the Bikini Division ( except Burrows), and, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top! I’m looking forward to see what these girls bring to the stage and who earns an Olympia qualification. I do think Burrows will come out on top, however, Jenny Drennan keeps on improving!

I’m looking forward to this weekend! This will be a fun group of girls to compete with! :-) Don’t worry, no more “gasping” or over the top stuff anymore. Can’t wait to see all my bikini friends and meeting new ones as well.

Thank you Isaac! I really value your opinion, and you’re usually spot on with predictions and changes that need to be made. I would also LOVE to get together and shoot this year! :)

I guess I used the term incorrectly. I didn’t mean any disrespect by it…I just meant that these are names we don’t see as frequently as some. I thought it was nice to see some different names on the scorecard.
