Congrats to NPC Fitness competitor Dani Stramer for getting some press in North Dakota. Reporter Mari Boe passed this news item along to me and used some of my competition photos of Dani for the piece. Check out the video here.
Fitness Competitions

**Competition photos in story courtesy of Isaac Hinds**People usually have hobbies to relax. Some garden others collect stamps and some cook. One woman has a leisure pursuit that is much more strenuous.
Dani Stramer is like many others. She works in an office, has two girls to take care of and regularly works out. Hours before most people’s alarm clock rings, Dani can be found in the gym. Unlike most people who work out Dani exercises in the morning before work during her lunch break after work and once more if she can fit it in at her home gym and that’s during what she calls the off season.
Dani Stramer, a Fitness Competitor says “I’m a mom, a wife, a personal trainer, and I do fitness competitions.”
For competition Dani has an intense work-out regimen. Her work out time doubles to four hours a day to prepare. She performs a two minute routine and displays holds flexibility and strength for a panel of judges.
“What I listen for when I’m up there. It’s the only voice I can really hear are theirs” says Dani Stramer.
Hope Stramer, Dani’s daughter exclaims “We just say go mommy!”
Dani says its less about winning competitions and more about reaching a goal.
“I like to always set goals for myself, as far as beng in the fitness infustry” says Dani.
Dani Stramer is a reminder that we can all reach our goals with some hard work and determination.
Dani says her competition bikinis have to be covered in Swar-OV-ski crystals. The cost ranges from 150-dollars to one-thousand dollars per suit.
