NY Figure Pro: Last Stop Before The Olmypia
The New York Pro Figure is being held this weekend in conjunction with the Team Universe contest. This is the last chance for IFBB Figure Pros to qualify for the Olympia. The big dance will be held next week in Las Vegas, NV. Currently, 23 pros are slated to compete for the remaining three qualifying spots. Four women in this field are already qualified for the Olympia – Alicia Harris, Larissa Reis, Sherlyn Roy and Nicole Wilkins-Lee. If these women take the top four there will be no additional Olympia spots awarded. It is shaping up to be a competitive line-up.

Juliana Malacarne takes the stage again and is always a crowd favorite. Emily Nicholson will make her pro debut after turning pro at the NPC USA contest in July. Nicole Wilkins-Lee and Larissa Reis each have a pro win under their belt this year and have to be considered the front runners, at least on paper.
HARDBODY will be in the Big Apple covering all the action beginning Thursday. Stay tuned for more updates and a special guest contributor who will be sharing her journey this weekend. As always you can follow us on twitter @hardbodynews. Thanks to IFBBpro.com for the updated list.

Just out of curiosity the women who are already made it into the Olympia, why are they doing this show? I know other women that do it too throughout the year are these women obligated to do these shows? I just think that it would be nice if you already qualify then let others have that chance. So I know this is a sport and competitive so maybe I shouldn’t think this way, but I was just wondering?
Why not?
Many times women use shows close to the Olympia to fine tune things, get feedback on new suits or little details they should change. Some competitors have contractual obligations to do a certain number of shows via their sponsors but those are few and far between.
The Olympia is supposed to be the best of the best, not the best after the best don’t enter. Plus the amount of money in the women’s side of things is less than the men’s. Why not compete as many times as your body allows in hopes of getting a pay check?
I agree with Isaac totally; could last week’s top 3 do a repeat in NY?
No. Nicole Wilkins-Lee will prevent that from happening.
There is no doubt Nicole will win this show……I have Sherlyn coming in second!
Nicole will definitely take this show and I would love to see Alicia take second here. She looked amazing last week. Best of luck to all the ladies competing this weekend and have fun in NY!!
