This is a cool story coming out of Portland, Oregon by way of www.katu.com. Burgerville is trying out a program that prints the nutritional information for each order directly on the receipt. What makes this so unique is that the nutritional information is custom to your order.
“Guests order and ask for different things: different buns, different cheeses, different sauces, different everything,” said Jeff Harvey, president and CEO for Burgerville. “So to put a label on the menu is not going resolve that challenge.”
Right now this caloric-bill program is just a pilot program. But it could be expanded to more stores in September.
“It’s kind of nice,” said Burgerville customer John Spaith. “If I was watching my weight more this would be very helpful.”
This would be awesome to see implemented in more places.

This is AWESOME! I think EVERY place should do this so that people know what they are actually consuming! i think once the nutritional content (sometimes lack thereof!) is in print, it’s more shocking to the average person to really realize what he/she is eating!
