Hi there -- for some good eats have a cab take you to Twisted Root Burger Company (its on Commerce St in Deep Ellum). You can get hormone-free grass fed burgers, chicken, bison, sometimes Elk, ostrich or venison. And prices are reasonable.
There are lots of other places you can eat well and reasonably close to downtown. And the Dallas Farmers' Market is close to the event also. Friday is a pretty good day to swing by -- lots of local organic vendors and they have fresh-prepared food as well.
Best,
Chaz
