Puddle of Mudd’s Psycho is your tune of the day. This is a live acoustic version which feels a bit like Nirvana to me.
I like the album version better but since the peeps at Universal don’t allow embedding, check it out here.

It's how you start and finish your day.

Today’s twitter of the day comes via P.Diddy. Apparently Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Ptwitty or whatever Sean Combs is going by this week has decided to get his butt back in the gym. Today he shared this “tweet” with his 417,000+ followers:

If you could share some training advice for the super star who hates to work out what would it be?
FLEXonline.com is reporting that the prize money has been increased for this year’s Olympia contest.
“The partnership between AMI and the IFBB Pro League is obviously working in the direction, as David Pecker and Ben Weider promised, to make the Olympia the best contest in the world,” IFBB Professional League Chairman Jim Manion said. “They are giving more back to the bodybuilders than anyone ever has. All the female competitors should be happy because the increased prize money makes everybody even across the board. The IFBB professional League is happy to be working with AMI in such a positive relationship as we continue to move bodybuilding forward in honor of Ben Weider.”
NPC Colorado Chairman, Jeff Taylor announced over the weekend that an IFBB Pro event would return to Denver, Colorado. The exact date is being worked out this month but look for the Europa Super show to be on the schedule for July of next year. The venue will return to the downtown convention center, where the Colorado Pro/Am was held in 2006 & 2007. The same model for Dallas and Orlando will make it’s way to Denver. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
Today’s photo features current Muscle & Fitness Hers cover girl Monique “Momo” Minton and Getbig.com’s Ron “Yogi” Avidan. While in Boise for the Bodybuilding.com Fit Expo last week, Monique gave a couple tips on figure posing. Ron wanted to gain a better understanding of figure posing so he decided to give it a try. Despite having a good instructor like Momo, it looks like Ron will need to practice a bit more.

Jennifer Nicole Lee continues to get her name and personality out to the mainstream. This time it’s with the Ab Circle Pro. I caught this infomercial with Jennifer on late night tv over the weekend. “Now there is a machine so advanced!”
I like this video where the Ab Circle Pro hits the beach. One guy says, “This is the most fun I’ve ever had exercising.” I bet it is buddy. Jennifer Nicole Lee in front of you on the beach will do that to ya.
Ah you gotta love the exercise gimmicks.
Check out some the photos of one of the most popular females in the biz, Monica Brant. Muscle & Fitness has posted a few photos and named her one of the All-Time hottest females to ever grace its pages. Pick up the newest issue where Mo has an image on the cover.
The NPC Bikini is beginning to take shape as the competitive season gets into full swing. The judges have to judge what is in front of them on that day. If only 5 or 6 women enter the show they still have to decide on a winner. This is no knock on any of the women who have won thus far in the bikini division but I feel we won’t know what the bikini division will look like until the NPC JR USA. Pro cards will be awarded and the winners there should set the standard of what bikini should look like at that event. To date Ali Sonoma was, in my opinion, what the a NPC Bikini winner should look like.
One competitor who hopes to be what the judges are looking for on the National level is Yvonne Vaicius. Yvonne was crowned the NPC Northern Colorado champ last Saturday. I caught up with the bikini champ to learn a bit more about her. Does she work out or does she eat fries and slap on a bikini for the show?

Name: Yvonne Vaicius
From: From Bogota, Colombia but reside in Denver, CO
How often do you work out? I work out 5 days a week and do gymnastics once a week
How long did you diet for the show? I dieted for 11weeks for this show
How much cardio did you do for the show? I was doing cardio 45 min a day every day
What’s your next competition? Next competition is probably going to be Jr Nationals in Chicago.
Yes, people not all bikini competitors eat like crap and don’t train. I was happy to hear that Yvonne dieted and trained for the competition. She works outs, trains and eats healthy yet doesn’t have the same amount of muscle as a figure competitor.
The IFBB New York Pro Fitness will take place this Saturday in New York, NY. Thirteen women will head to the Big Apple in search of victory. My predictions for this show are below. As always, this is intended to be in good fun and not taken personally. I don’t know how any of these women will look come showtime and if their routines will rock the house or not. The top three qualify for the Fitness Olympia.
1. Tina Durkin – If Tina shows up looking like she did at the Arnold this show is hers. She’s been a bit under the weather but if she’s able to come in healthy I see her notching her first pro win. Her physique at the Arnold was the best we’ve seen on her and her routines have greatly improved.
2. Shannon Meteraud – The granny of the group still has some gas in the tank. The veteran returned to the Arnold stage and placed sixth. The pressure is off Shannon to qualify for the Olympia, since her Arnold placing took care of that. If Durkin isn’t at her best, Shannon could find herself in the winner’s circle. Don’t be surprised if Shannon does find the top spot in this show and sends Durkin to the brides-maid position.
3. Nicole Wilkins-Lee – Nicole has all the tools to be the future of fitness. If she comes in a bit tighter than she did at the Arnold she will be in the mix for victory here. She’s still young and her muscles are maturing but I like the look she brings to the fitness stage.
4. Trish Warren – Trish will hold her own in the physique rounds at this show and if she can stay in the mix in the routine rounds she could qualify for the Olympia by slipping into the top three. It won’t be easy but she’s done it before. It will all come down to how well she performs her routine as to whether the top three are in the cards for her.
5. Erin Riley – Erin brings a ton of raw energy to the stage with her routines and will have the advantage of not traveling far to compete. You saw some of her insane training in the weeks leading up to the Arnold, if you haven’t check them out here. If I were Erin, I’d avoid the heavy lifting and strongman type of training. She carries a great deal of muscle and has a tremendous back, however a more stream-lined look would suit her better. The routine rounds she’ll do better than the physique rounds, it’s just a matter of where.
Wild Card: Myriam Capes has come a long ways in the last two years with her physique. She has an incredible routine and if she comes in conditioned she could challenge for a top five spot. She certainly will hold her own in the routine rounds.

Today’s Song of the Day, Terrible Lie comes by way of Nine Inch Nails. Good Stuff.
It’s been a busy few days in the land of hardbody, which is why I’ve been slack on keeping you all updated here. The Bodybuilding.com Fit Expo was a huge success in Boise, Idaho. Last night, Colorado NPC Chairman Jeff Taylor put on a great event with the NPC Northern Colorado. The event sold out and was jam packed. That’s close to 1,000 bodybuilding & fitness fans supporting the local scene. Many people were disappointed when they made the trip only to be turned away because no room was left in the Boulder Theatre.
I’ll be provide you with more updates from the past few days as well as previews of what’s to come. Cheers!
Last year Rachel Cammon competed in her first figure competition at the NPC Northern Colorado. A couple months later she went on to achieve IFBB Pro status at the NPC USA. Another IFBB competitor, you may have heard of him, Phil Heath first competed at this competition as well. IFBB Figure Pro Heather Mae French competed in the Fitness portion of this show a few years ago. Will someone else who competes in this Colorado competition turn pro? We’ll have to wait and see but don’t wait to get your tickets as this is sure to be one event that sells out.
When: April 4, 2009
What: NPC Northern Colorado
Where: Boulder Theater on the Pearl St. Mall – Boulder, CO

Rachel will be making her IFBB Pro debut at the Orlando Pro show. She’ll also be attending the Northern Colorado event this Saturday.

Special Ed brings you today’s Old School Rap with “I’m the Magnificent“.
Earlier this year we told you about the award show that looked to be a farce. The founder told us he’d be at the IRONMAN Pro show but was no where to be found. He assured those who were to be awarded that the event would take place “sometime in March”. A trip to their site looks like this:

My point for revisiting this is simple. Do a little homework before getting involved in anything. There was a reason why I didn’t promote this event, it simply didn’t check out.
Another IFBB Pro is going off the single’s market. This time it’s IFBB Fitness Pro Nicole Rollolazo who has said “Yes” to wedlock. Nicole tells me that once she gets through the immigration red tape that her and her lucky man will be getting married this August in Seattle. Nicole accepted the proposal from James Dawson Martin at a castle in England (James is from England).

So what will she go by… So many options!
