It’s with great sadness and a heavy heart that I report on this news. IFBB Figure Pro Amanda Jo Savell was found dead this morning along with Dave Jacobs in his residence. It appears to be a murder/suicide but the details are still being gathered. They are reported to have been found around 3:30am this morning. I’ll provide more news as it becomes available. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families. It sends chills down my spine and tears to my eyes to write this.

My heart is deeply saddened about this news. I received a call early this am with this news from a friend who is with her family now. The details of the tragedy are still trying to be determined. My prayers go out to her sister and family. Let’s all remember Amanda as the beautiful, sweet and incredible athlete she was.

I just heard from Shawn, my god this is so so sad, another dark day for the bodybuilding community. I had the privilage of meeting Amanda on several occasions, she was truely a beautiful person both inside and out.

I am deep hurt by this, as everyone else is as well.
All we can do as human beings is to honor her career and celebrate her life. I’ve turned the Amanda Savell group I created with her blessing nearly a year or so ago into a tribute group. I cannot believe this happened to such a beautiful woman. I always thought she was incredably talented and an amazing competitor. We will definitely never forget you Amanda.
